A Message from the Memorial

We are so close to completing construction of the Memorial! Through fundraising efforts and community support the Memorial is taking shape. However, the Memorial still needs about $200,000 to complete construction. In these uncertain economic times donations to the Memorial have slowed and so has construction.

Please consider donating to the Van Zandt County Veterans Memorial. Construction costs have risen dramatically during the past five years of planning. Once construction of the Memorial Plaza is complete, there remains the continuous cost of maintenance to ensure the Memorial will be enjoyed for many generations to come.

Your support is not only appreciated by Memorial volunteers, but by all of the Van Zandt County families who have lost loved ones in uniform, protecting our country and all of the rights we enjoy.

Your continued support of the Memorial is vital. Please consider the Van Zandt County Veterans Memorial when you are planning what charities you are going to give to this coming year. The Memorial is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a full Charitable Organization (501c3) and any and all donations to it are tax deductible.

With Best Wishes to You and Your Families,

Harry Fontenot
Director
